Privacy Policy

Monday 23rd April 2018

As you are probably aware the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25 May 2018. My regular newsletter sign up box collects only your name and email address, so the new regulations will not result in any major changes. For your information this is a review addressing how your information is used.

I use a third party email service provider, MailChimp, to send you my newsletters.  To allow me to send my emails through MailChimp, I provide MailChimp with information from your sign up form, consisting of your email address and  name. This information is held only on the MailChimp database, and I do not keep it anywhere else.

MailChimp treats information about you in accordance with the provisions of its Privacy Policy.  MailChimp also utilizes certain technologies, such as pixels and web beacons, in the emails that are sent through MailChimp. These technologies allow MailChimp to track whether you have opened or clicked on my emails and if so, the date, time, and IP address associated with the open and/or click. For more information on MailChimp’s use of these technologies, you can read their Cookie Statement.

In summary I have never sold or otherwise transmitted your personal information to any other party, nor will I ever do so in the future. All my newsletters have an “unsubscribe option”, and you can cancel your free membership at any time. If you have any further concerns please do not hesitate to contact me – doc@drstephensimpson.com
