Help! I am not motivated to start or finish my project

by | Jul 21, 2018 | Weekly Blog

I get many emails and questions about motivation. Typically people want to know why they are not motivated, and what they can do to increase their motivation.

This is a very easy question for me to answer, and this is what I say.

Motivation is not your problem. The problem relates more to the project that you wish to either start or finish. Perhaps your heart is not in it? Perhaps the reason for doing the project in the first place was more to do with what you think you should do rather than what you want to do? Perhaps you think you are not good enough?

My view of motivation is that it is the default state of every human being. Since birth we have been fascinated by the world we live in and are endlessly curious and inquisitive. For some reason as we grow older we often lose this priceless gift. This video gives more details on why this can happen, and what you can do to regain your natural motivation.
